We believe learning should be fun! Utilizing predominantly Natural Environment Teaching methods promotes learning in a fun, engaging, child-centered manner. We aim to support and motivate our learners to reach their highest potential.
If your child has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), your health insurance may cover ABA Therapy. SOAR is in network with: GA Medicaid, Peach State, Amerigroup, CareSource, Cigna, United Health, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Aetna. We will assist you in checking the benefits and guide you through the next steps.
Our focused programs pinpoint the area(s) of greatest need in order to prioritize learning in 10-25 hours per week. These programs are often implemented with our school aged learners (6-18 years). Consultative services may be provided in school and daycare settings by the BCBA.
Our comprehensive programs target communication, social, adaptive, and behavioral needs. These programs often require 25+ hours per week and are typically implemented with our early intervention aged learners (2-5 years). Sessions occur in your home by either a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) under the direction of a BCBA.
Our learners often "graduate" from our typical ABA Therapy sessions but may still need support developing social-emotional skills, maintaining friendships, and with community participation. Our group sessions, offered once per week, focus on social and behavioral needs in the context of interactive and collaborative play with same-aged peers. These sessions often occur in the community and are facilitated by the BCBA.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a cognitive-behavioral therapy. ACT has also been adapted to create a non-therapy version of the same processes called acceptance and commitment training. This training process is oriented towards the development of mindfulness, acceptance, and valued skills in non-clinical settings. Ask me how ACT can help you and/or your child develop emotional regulation skills.
All of our programs include Caregiver Education and Collaboration to ensure that your child and your family is healthy, happy, and supported. BCBAs provide hands-on training and support for caregivers to implement ABA strategies that will help your child be successful. Babysitters, teachers, related services providers, grandparents, and extended family are all welcome to join these sessions
